Board of Executive Officers


According to its Bylaws, Cyrela's Board of Executive Officers is composed of up to six members elected by the Board of Directors for a term of three years and may be discharged at any moment.


The elected officers are the Company's legal representatives in charge of carrying out the business strategy set by the Board of Directors, of designing plans and projects, and they are responsible for the Company’s operational and financial performance.



Elie Horn

Elie Horn is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Cyrela. He has held these two functions since the incorporation of Brazil Realty in 1994 and has a broad experience in the real estate development business. He is the founding Partner of Cyrela and its CEO since 1978. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Mackenzie Presbyterian University.


Rogério Jonas Zylbersztajn

Rogério Jonas Zylbersztajn is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and has been Vice-President of Cyrela since 2006. He is also the Vice-President of ADEMI, meritorious Partner of AIB (Media Association of Barra), and Vice-President of Sinduscon-Rio. He is the Partner-Director of RJZ Engenharia Ltda., which was founded in 1985 and during his administration achieved the goal of building 996,064 m² in more than 130 real estate developments in the State of Rio de Janeiro. He and his company have been the receivers of the following awards: "Businessperson of the Year" in 2001 and "Company of the Year" in 2002, 2006, and 2007 from ADEMI, "Pedro Ernesto Meritorious Medal" in 2002 and "Meritorious Citizen" in 2004, both given by the Municipal Chamber of Rio de Janeiro, "Real Estate Master" (considered the Oscar of the market) in 2004 and 2005, and the "Top of Marketing" by ADVB in 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2008. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Santa Úrsula University in Rio de Janeiro.



Ubirajara Spessotto de Camargo Freitas

Ubirajara Spessotto de Camargo Freitas has been the General Executive Officer of Cyrela São Paulo since 2007. He has been working for Cyrela since 2004, when he used to be the Executive Development Officer. He was president for South America and “Junior Partner” of Cushman & Wakefield from 2000 to 2002. In 1996 he became CEO of Schahin Cury (today, Schahin Group), and he started up the Group's real estate developer, which ranked 4th in the city of São Paulo. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Mackenzie University School of Engineering with a specialization in Business Administration from PDG EXEC/IBMEC (1988).


Cassio Mantelmacher

Cassio Mantelmacher has been the Real Estate Development Officer at Cyrela since 2005. He held the position of Sales Manager in the Schahin Group from 1997 to 2000 when he was promoted to Development Officer, which is a position he held until 2003 when he was promoted to General Executive Officer, overseeing the departments of public and private building projects, concessions, telecommunications, and real estate development. He began his career in the real estate sector in 1986 as an intern and later as resident engineer for building projects at Gafisa SA.. In the same company he held the positions of real estate development analyst, consultant, and Real Estate Development Manager. He holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo.


Cláudio Carvalho de Lima

Cláudio Carvalho de Lima is Cyrela’s corporate legal department officer since 2007. He received a bachelor's degree from the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie's Law School in 1991. He started his career in the legal department of the Development Bank of the State of São Paulo (Banco de Desenvolvimento do Estado de São Paulo S.A., or BADESP) in 1988. He has acted as the Manager of the legal department of JTS Engenharia, Unibanco S.A., and Multicanal (globocabo). In addition, he was a senior Manager and statutory executive officer at Redevco do Brasil (Real Estate Development Company), a company owned by the Dutch group Cofra AG, where he was in charge of the legal department in Brazil from 2001 to 2007.


Gilson Fernando Hochman

Gilson Fernando Hochman is Cyrela’s national Sales Director. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He started his professional career at FURNAS – Centrais Elétricas as a Systems Analyst. Later he worked at Esso Brasileira de Petróleo (EXXON Móbil), and he was a managing Partner at MSC Informática. His first position in the commercial area was at IDIMA S/A Indústria Plástica, where he acted as a sales Director. In 1998 he was hired by Cyrela, where he is currently the head of the commercial division.


José Florêncio Rodrigues Neto

José Florêncio Rodrigues Neto has been Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations Officer since 2011. He holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Brasilia, with an MBA from the MIT - Sloan School of Management, and post-graduation from CEAG at Fundação Getulio Vargas, Brazil. He worked for the Camargo Correa Group for nine years, and acted as CFO of the Engineering and Construction Division. From 2004 to 2007, he was Director of Strategic Planning, Controlling and M&A, and previously was Senior Manager of Strategic Intelligence and Knowledge Management. Besides the Camargo Correa Group, Rodrigues Neto worked for PWC Consulting (New York), Nova Dutra, Consórcio BrasMetro and Themag Engenharia. He has also held the position of alternate member of the Board of Directors of CPFL, Usiminas and Alpargatas, Board Member of Estaleiro Atlântico Sul and member of the Advisory Board of Alcoa - Latin America.
