Awards and acknowledgements
Awards and acknowledgements are the results of Cyrela’s responsible, efficient, and ethical work along five decades. In 2010, the Company once again held a highlight position on the Brazilian real estate market. An example of this was Cyrela’s debut on Ranking Interband das 25 Marcas Brasileiras mais Valiosas (“Interband Ranking of the 25 Most Valued Brands”), where the brand’s value was assessed at R$ 545 million, holding the 14th position. Interband is one of the major international brand consulting firms and works in 25 countries. The calculation considers the financial performance, measuring the brand’s ability to capture the consumers’ preference and the probability of creating future revenue.
Other important awards were also granted to Cyrela. Among them, the ones given out by CartaCapital and IstoéDinheiro magazines and O Estado de S.Paulo and Valor Econômico newspapers. Awards received in 2010 were:
CartaCapital – Cyrela leads the ranking of “The Most Admired Companies in Brazil” in the category of Construction & Development Companies for the eighth year in a row. The award highlights the Company as the most admired among stakeholders and executives of the industry, with 21% and 16.5% of indications, respectively.
TOP Imobiliário – In this 17th edition of the award, Cyrela won the first place in Developer, and the third place in Construction. The award is given by a partnership between O Estado de S.Paulo and Empresa Brasileira de Estudos de Patrimônio (EMBRAESP). The Award is a partnership between Estadão and EMBRAESP. It is intended to acknowledge the importance of the real estate market of São Paulo Metropolitan Area, and also to present the companies that launched notable residential projects.
IstoéDinheiro – The Company holds the 28th position of the “Ranking of the 50 Most Valued Companies in the Country”, ahead of major brands such as Gol, Pão de Açúcar and Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN). Research institutes Brand Analytics and Millward Brown prepare the ranking based on financial data from 2009 in comparison to 2008.
Valor 1000 – For the fifth year in a row, Cyrela is among the 250 major holding companies in Brazil according to ranking “Valor 1000”, a publication of Valor Econômico newspaper. The Company holds the 44th position and is among the largest ones since 2005. In its tenth edition, “Valor 1000” brings annually the list of the thousand major Brazilian companies, classified according to their net revenues and distributed among 25 industries. The assessment is carried out by a partnership between Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EAESP-FGV) and Serasa Experian.
ITCNet – The Company also appears once again among the 100 major companies of the civil construction industry, according to “ITCNet Ranking”, which in 2010 carried out its seventh survey, naming the construction companies with the largest volumes of square meters (m2) constructed. Cyrela was a highlight in the category “Residential - Rio de Janeiro Region” and was in fourth position for building 4,071,690.24 (m2) in 2010.
Master Imobiliário – Projects Menara (by Cyrela) and Vitória Jundiaí (by Living) were the great winners in the category of “Professionals – Sales Systems” in Prêmio Master Imobiliário 2010. Winners for another consecutive year, the companies were acknowledged by the sales strategies that secured the sales success of products. Considered the “Oscar” of the industry in Brazil, the award is in its 15th edition and is now divided in two categories: Projects and Professionals. The cases bring the good results in terms of innovation, use of advanced technology, modernization of procedures and systems, upgrade in insertions related to the urban environment and sustainability, among other factors.
ABEMD – The Brazilian Association of Direct Marketing (ABEMD) in its 16th edition awarded two cases developed by Embrace Comunicação e Marketing: “Eu Indico Cyrela” for projects in São Paulo, and “Pré-venda Altobelli”, for Fisa GoldszteinCyrela, which promoted the launch of a residential building in Caxias do Sul (RS).
