Building Professionals
Training the workforce to meet the future demands for skilled professionals is one of the purposes of Building Professionals program. Since 2008 the initiative is aimed at youths over 18 years of age who have some family relationship with Cyrela’s construction sites employees.
The electrician and plumber courses are given by the National Service of Industrial Education (SENAI). Thus the program is also aimed at meeting the need of skilled labor for the civil construction industry, at the training and insertion of professionals into the market place; and at the general benefits to the Company’s workers. This is a social work offering the opportunity of a profession and job for the young.
Even without warranting the immediate contracting, the future professionals have great chances of becoming Cyrela’s employees. The first group, formed in 2008, is a good example. From the 30 youths who joined the program, 28 entered the Company’s body of professionals. In April and May 2010, two new groups started the courses of electricians and hydraulic installation. This time, 48 youths were benefited by the Program.
