Distinctive practices

Regarding waste management at construction sites, Cyrela has adopted some practices for its projects beyond the assessment of all material used in construction. This is a process carried out by the department of Technological Development. The initiatives resulted in a significant reduction of waste accrued. These include:

> Implementation of facilities with seamless walls by means of the drywall system to close the shafts and fillings necessary for piping, which reduces the brickwork waste;

> Development of thin cement plaster for internal use. This allows to replace the gypsum that creates a high volume of waste;

> Use of water-based paints in wood casings. These are less aggressive to the environment due to the lack of solvents, thus reducing the VOCs released in the atmosphere.
