In 50 years, Cyrela consolidated as a company respected by the real estate market

Cyrela Brazil Realty has built over a 50-year story a company which is respected by the real estate market. The Company is the protagonist of a story marked by financial soundness, expanding investment and a brand of quality, leadership, and reliability. From its credibility, it became one of the major companies in the Brazilian real estate industry when it comes to development of residential projects. In this period, the Company achieved 200 thousand customers and delivered over 45 thousand homes. We currently have over 200 construction sites in operation.

From 2005 onwards, Cyrela’s growth entered a new pace. With the first Initial Public Offering (IPO), the Company entered the securities market and started to negotiate its stock in the São Paulo Securities, Commodities and Futures Exchange (BM&FBOVESPA), Novo Mercado segment, which has stricter rules regarding transparent disclosure of information and good practices on Corporate Governance (for more information, refer to the “Corporate Governance” chapter). At the time, the company had operations in two cities, having 74% of constructions carried out with an built by our own construction company approach. Since then its geographic expansion has been continuous. In 2010, Cyrela had projects in 16 Brazilian states and in the Federal District; they were spread over 67 cities. Cyrela also worked in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires.

Cyrela works on all income segments of the real estate market, from high-end to super economic projects, integrating the works of development, construction, sales, and services. In order to make its projects feasible, the Company works both independently and through partnerships. This strategy was important to the regional expansion and growth in other market segments.

While the Company has a large experience on middle, mid-high and high-end segments, in 2006 it created Living, a brand to offer projects for the low-income segment. In 2009, Living became a unit with a structure of its own, being today one of the major companies of the economic and super economic segment, operating in 14 states. Like Cyrela, Living works from the purchase of landbank through the development and sales of the project and post-delivery service.

Cyrela’s head office is located in the city of São Paulo and is supported by a chain of offices all over Brazil to handle local operations.
